Isokko Agents - Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about becoming an Isokko Agent

1. Who are Isokko Agents?

Isokko Agents are everyday people who help Isokko expand its network of verified stores and improve product availability for customers.

Agents earn money by:

  • Locating requested or hard-to-find items.
  • Adding new stores or restaurants to the Isokko platform.
  • Listing products from those stores.
  • Completing other agent tasks available in the app.

Agents work independently through the Isokko app — they are not employees of the stores they list.

2. How do Isokko Agents make money?

Agents earn money per completed task inside the Isokko app. There is no fixed salary — earnings are based on the type and number of tasks completed.

Examples include:

  • Finding a requested item.
  • Adding a new verified store or restaurant.
  • Listing products for an existing store.
  • Other specific agent activities announced through the app.

Rates of rewards are displayed inside the app before you accept each task, so you always know how much you will earn.

3. What happens when I add a new store or restaurant?

When you add a new store:

  • You enter key details such as store name, email address, location, and profile image.
  • An account is automatically created for that store in the Isokko system.
  • The store's email address becomes the contact point for receiving order notifications.

As the agent who added the store, you have permission to:

  • Add and update its products.
  • Edit store details (name, email, location, profile photo, etc.).
4. How are store orders handled?

When a customer places an order on Isokko:

  • Isokko, the store, and Isokko's riders all receive email notifications about the new order.
  • A nearby rider is assigned to pick up the item(s) from the store.
  • The rider delivers the order to the customer.
  • Isokko pays the store directly for the purchased items in full — using any available payment method (Mobile Money, cash, or card).
5. How does the store benefit from being on Isokko?

Stores and restaurants listed on Isokko gain access to customers from all over the city, increasing their visibility and sales. They receive direct payments for every order placed through the app.

Isokko earns revenue by:

  • Adding a small margin to the prices of listed items, or
  • Negotiating a commission directly with the store.

Agents do not handle commission negotiations — this is done exclusively by the Isokko management team.

6. Do agents have access to store earnings or payments?

No.

Agents help add and maintain stores, but all payments go directly to the store's account. Isokko handles transactions securely through its payment systems. Agents only receive task rewards credited to their own Isokko agent dashboard.

7. Are Isokko Agents paid a salary or commission?

Agents are paid per task, not a fixed salary. This means your total income depends on:

  • How many tasks you complete.
  • The value of each task (rates shown in the app).

For example, if you add multiple verified stores and list many items, your earnings can grow quickly.

8. How do I receive my agent payments?

All your rewards and commissions are tracked in your Agent Dashboard inside the Isokko app. Payments are transferred to your Isokko wallet or preferred payout method (e.g., Mobile Money) once they meet the minimum payout threshold.

9. What if I find a requested item faster than others?

When multiple agents work on the same request:

  • The first agent to complete and submit valid proof (live photos, store details, etc.) receives the full reward.
  • Other agents who also completed the task correctly but after the winner may receive smaller consolation rewards.
10. What proof is required when completing item-location tasks?

Agents must upload:

  • Live photos of the item and the store where it was found.
  • Clear details such as store name and address.

Photos should be taken in real time (no reused or downloaded images). This ensures Isokko maintains high data accuracy and trustworthiness.

11. Do Isokko Agents receive training?

Yes.

Isokko provides training materials through:

  • The Isokko blog (blog.isokko.com)
  • Step-by-step tutorials and videos inside the app.

These resources teach you:

  • How to add new stores professionally.
  • How to upload quality item photos.
  • How to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
12. Is there a contract or agreement for agents?

Yes.

When you sign up as an Isokko Agent, you agree to the Isokko Agent Terms & Conditions inside the app.

This digital agreement outlines:

  • Your responsibilities as an agent.
  • Payment and reward policies.
  • Code of conduct and data accuracy expectations.
  • Rights and obligations for both you and Isokko.

Isokko may also introduce formal digital contracts (e-signatures) during onboarding for additional clarity and protection for both sides.

13. Do agents work directly for stores?

No.

Agents do not work for the stores they list. They act as independent contributors who help Isokko expand store coverage and improve product listings. All store operations, order handling, and payments are managed by Isokko and the store owners, not by agents.

14. Can I contact a store I added directly?

Agents may contact stores only for verification or listing purposes (e.g., confirming names, prices, or photos). However, order-related communication and payment discussions are handled exclusively by the Isokko platform, not by agents.

15. What support do agents receive?

Agents can reach the Isokko Support Team directly through:

  • In-app chat support, or
  • Phone call support for guidance on locating items or resolving task issues.

Isokko also maintains communication channels (such as the Isokko Agents group or announcements) to share news, tips, and performance updates.

16. Are there rewards for top-performing agents?

Yes, Isokko plans to introduce:

  • Leaderboards to recognize top agents.
  • Performance-based bonuses or tiers for consistent high performers.
  • Badges or special achievements for verified, high-quality submissions.
17. Why should I become an Isokko Agent?

Becoming an Isokko Agent gives you a flexible way to earn money, explore local stores, and help grow Rwanda's e-commerce network.

You can:

  • Work anytime, anywhere.
  • Earn from your phone.
