Here's an honest look at what same-day actually means on Isokko, and how to make sure you don't miss the window.

The actual delivery windows by neighborhood

Distance from the fulfilling store matters less than time of day. Same-day on a 9am order usually lands by lunch. Same-day on a 4pm order lands before dinner. The cutoff is around 10pm — after that orders move to first-morning delivery the next day.

• Nyarutarama, Kacyiru, Kimihurura, Remera — closest to the densest cluster of stores. Quick orders here often arrive in under an hour.
• Kimironko, Gisozi, Kibagabaga, Niboye — 1 to 2 hours for most orders.
• Kicukiro, Gikondo, Kanombe, Kabuga — 1.5 to 2.5 hours; rural Kicukiro edges can take longer.
• Nyamirambo, Gitega, Muhima, Mageragere — 1.5 to 3 hours depending on the fulfilling store.

1. Bundle a week's shop in one order. One delivery fee on a 30,000 RWF basket beats four delivery fees on four 7,500 RWF baskets.
2. Order during off-peak hours. Mid-morning or mid-afternoon is faster and sometimes a little cheaper than the lunch rush or 5pm spike.
3. Use the wallet credit if you have it. Referral rewards and welcome bonus credit apply automatically at checkout.

What qualifies for same-day

Most of the Isokko catalog qualifies for same-day in Kigali. The exceptions are:

• Bulky items (large appliances, furniture) — scheduled delivery, usually next-day.
• Items the agent has to source for you (the Agent Request feature) — depends on the agent's ETA.
• Orders placed after 10pm — moved to first-morning delivery next day, free of charge.

Tracking the rider

Once a rider picks up the order you'll see a tracking screen with a live map, the rider's name and number, and an ETA that updates as they move. If you want to change anything (different gate, different floor, a number to call when they arrive), you can update the address right from the tracking screen and it pushes to the rider instantly.

If your order is running late
